Software to work with Renesas CPUs
You can use Flash Development Toolkit software to work with Renesas CPUs. The software is free of charge and is available for download on the developer’s website after signing up. At the moment (06.03.17) V.4.09 Release 03 version can be downloaded without signing up following this link. The software allows to flash Renesas CPUs of various series (sh705x and sh725xx) in the BSL mode. The software supports even those CPUs that are not supported by expensive tools. The software can be used to recover ECUs with these CPUs if you have full flash file.
Pin assignment in the tool connectors J2534 connector (OBD-II-F), designed for connecting the same name interface to OBD-II and has the following connection diagram:
